Two years ago we built an addition onto our house. I had a 8x15 area designated for a workshop, but never got around to finishing it out. Well - I did the other week! I still have some organization to do and some other minor things, but it is kind of there. I am not used to it yet, but it'll grow on me!

Awesome! Nothing like a dedicated space for persuing your hobby. I can't wait until I have a dedicated space that doesn't compete with cars!! Speaking of that, I'd better get out in my garage and finish cleaning so we can fit the cars in there for the coming winter!

Thanks guys! The cabinets I actually bought a Lowe's, but same thing I'm sure - piece of cake to put together. Creighton - that is an extra set of rockers for the 44. Project to get to! I want to see what it might take to have them vend other bottles or cans. And I wanted something askew!
I saved some solid core doors that were removed during construction - had a friend come by and we ripped them to fit. They made an excellent countertop!

Tom, That V-44 looks like it is in the way. You should send that my way and I will "store" it for you! Nice workshop set up! Tim

I should sort out some dedicated space (if I could find some). My wife is getting fed up with me using the dinning room table for all my projects...

Looks nice, Tom! Is that the space we were in where you had all your mechs sitting when Brian and I were out there? I need something like that!

Is that the space we were in where you had all your mechs sitting when Brian and I were out there? That is the space! It sat empty for too long. I was using my vise and riveter on the floor along with doing everything else - drilling, etc. I will continue to use the pool table inside for mech assembling and such as it is convenient, but now I have someplace to bang things around and make noise. I bought that cheap little 15" TV ($160) in the corner and it picks up pretty well with the rabbit ears, but I want to hook it up to the OTA antenna on the roof so I can get more channels and clearer reception. It also has a radio on it. It is nice to have sports on while I'm out there. I'm pretty psyched about it all as I have wanted a little shop area for a long time and it came together pretty well.

Looks Great Tom, Nice to have a space... Me, I just invaded the Garage and the basement , and sometimes the kitchen table, occasionally the kitchen countertop, Have used the living room floor for assembly, oh yea.. my bar top works great for building mechs and bottle stacks......and have even read a few manuals in the Mens room too... so Machines have taken over my house almost completely except for the bedroom and well we just won't go there...

Question,
Do you know what a great work shop has in common with a great kitchen?
Answer,
The better the workshop the more time spent in it. The better the kitchen, the more time spent in there(by the wife). And the benefit of all of this is this time well spent is the product produced by a person who enjoys the work space they are working in.
Congrats
