I went and looked at a Pepsi Vendo yesterday.  I couldn't read the model number from the nameplate that was on the machine.  This machine was very small and maybe 4 1/2 feet tall.  Anybody know what the model number might be?  I didn't buy it yet...thought about it for a day.  Just threw a counter offer back at him...waiting for an answer.  Thought I would use this machine to learn how to sand and paint.  oops

It was probably a 56.
Was it a round top or a square top?

it is a square top.  not in the best shape paint-wise, but for $50, what the heck!

sorry about the title...it's just the first thing I thought of when I saw it in the guys driveway...I was somewhat shocked at how small it was compared to the ones I do have.

Okay...I picked up the little Pepsi vendolator tonight and was finally able to make out the nameplate for a model number.

It appears to read VFA56B-C  Would this be commonly known as a V56 when talking about it on the boards?

Thanks!

I am kind of partial to bottle machines.  If I should change my mind you have first dibs on the stack and shelves Bubba!

I let it sit 24 hours after having it on its back to get it home.  Guy I got it from had no idea if it worked at all.  Wouldn't even plug it in to check.  His loss is my gain...everything works except the stack light bulb..already replaced that.  Does everything it should and cools down nicely.
Fairly quiet while its running too.  Very happy for the $50 I spent   biggrin

The compressor is cycling just fine and working like a champ...just popped a quarter in and pulled out the coldest beer I've had in a long time.  NICE!!   drinking

Yeah...wasn't sure if it'd work or not...they guy I got it from wouldn't even plug it in to check.  Oo

Didn't have a key, so I had to drill the lock.  I was hoping to find it full of cash - it was too light to be full of gold - you just never know what you might find inside of one that is all locked up.  This one was only full of shelves and the compressor - better luck next time  Smiley

Anybody have any stories of things they have found in locked machines?

A friend of mine picked up a Choice Vend on eBay for $10 and when we drilled the lock there was about $5 in change in it.  biggrin
