Thought I'd share the latest project that I just finished up last night.. Not a soda machine I know ,but know that many of you like the gas pumps like I do as well.
This is a Bennett 756 short pump, customer brought it to me to restore, see the before and after. Links are to the larger photobucket images.

I probably would have tossed the unrestored pump in the trash.  What a turn around.  Nice job!!

Love that gas pump!  When I was a kid I was fascinated by the big dinosaur at the Sinclair gas stations.  I think I was about six years old and my dad sent me down the block from his drugstore to the Sinclair Station get a gallon of gas for our lawn mower.  I told the attendant "25 cents worth, please!"  When he finished filling it up he said, "That will be 50 cents!"  I would love to have a picture of the look on my face.  It would have been the look of sheer panic oh because I only had a quarter in my pocket.  The attendant laughed and the told me it was just a quarter!

Boy those were the days!

Yes they were. I also remember that it only took about $5.00 to fill to tank of your car!
