Hi there ! Saw a Vendo 44 today, which was restored 5-7 years ago - basically just painted outside and cleaned inside. The paint is OK, no dents, just few small chips in the paint here and there and from where the bottle comes out. In the BACK panel - all the way down where the compressor is - you can see some bubbles under the paint(rust), but the area is small, around 1" x 1". The machine cools, and works fine. Inside everything is original, decals are there, no rust, and everything works OK. Can not really tell, if something is missing inside, but it works OK, so I guess everything is there. All seals are fine. Coin mechanism looks clean and fine, but is set for free pay, and the owner do not know, how to set it back to pay mode, or if it works correctly. If you drop a coin, it will just go through the mechanism. The machine is located only 15 minutes from where I live, so I don't have to worry any expensive shipping charges, plus worrying buying something I can't see(ebay). Anyway the price for this Vendo 44 is $2200, and since I'm pretty new on this, the question is, is that fair value, overpriced or bargain and should I go for it ? Any feedback is appreciated. Have a Coke and a smile !
