Comments:   The VMC 81 is a "slant shelf" machine very similar to the Vendo V-81. Vendorlator didn't manufacture VMC 81's for Coca-Cola, Vendo exclusively produced 81's for Coca-Cola whereas Vendorlator produced the 81 for a variety of soda bottlers. Some of which included Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, 7-Up, Royal Crown and a few other brands. Of these, the Royal Crown VMC 81 is the most sought after by collectors.
