I got a call this morning from a buddy said he picked up a Popcorn machine, Sent me a photo and it was a U-Pop-it / Minit Pop, not really sure which one as they are both the same. the price was right so I picked it up today and we'll it's pretty rough, but body work can be done, the biggest problem is it's missing a few parts I'm pretty sure... can anyone Brian?/Matt? point me in the right direction as to what is missing, if parts are available or if I'm at a loss on this deal? maybe I should just part it out? any tips, advice on this thing would be great.. It would be fun to restore as they look cool when all done up right... jsut not sure if I could get it working??

John,
Congrats on the awesome find!!!!Sounda like you have a really good friend that found this for you.
As I am looking at your machine I can see that you, as you already know, are missing some parts. Off of my first look here's what I see missing:
#1 - Cooking Basket #2 - cooking Basket Linkage #3 - Cooking Oil Tank #4 - Popcorn Chute #5 - Popcorn Funnel #6 - Popcorn Bag Storage Assembly #7 - Junction Box Cover(s) #8 - (2) Decorative Side Shields (aka: "Batwings") #9 - U-Pop-It Marquee Sign #10 - "Popcorn Boy" Decal #11 - Cooking Oil Solenoid Valve
Unfortunately I can't see into the oil vat to see if the deadweight block is there. You said the heating element is there right? Did you have to remove anything to be able to see it?
Send some more pics when you get a chance.
