Well, after some wrangling and dealing I got it!  I am now the owner of a Stoner coffee and hot chocolate vendor in real nice condition.  I have to go pick it up, but I believe I'll wait until Ike makes his way elsewhere!  I haven't laid eyes on it, but the owner says there is no rust, and it is in nice condition.  It will be interesting to see how these work.

Keep it!  Don't sell it!  Those are awesome when restored.  I use to have some pictures of a restored one.  Even unrestored, it's pretty darn cool.  Great find.  Send pics of the inside.  I hope it's not by hurricane Ike.

Curtis nice job.  I especially like the side art work.

I searched some of my files and I must have deleted the restored machine.  It was a dark burgandy and looked sharp.  Does anyone remember that machine?  It was on Ebay about five years ago....anyone.....anyone.....I didn't think so.  That was awhile ago.  I don't even remember it anymore.

I was just thumbing through the TV channels and saw one of these coffee machines next to a Pepsi V90. The movie is called "Lean on Me" and was airing on the BET channel. It was in the opening first few minutes of the movie. The scene was in a school office meeting room.

Speaking of movie machines...
My kid was watching Pee-Wee's Big Adventure the other day - I had never noticed, but right after the Alamo tour (where Pee-Wee finds out there is no basement in the Alamo) there is a shot of a V-81B

LOL...yes it is! But a 7-year-old doesn't know. When I was 7, I thought the original 'Gone in 60 Seconds' was the greatest movie along side 'Soylent Green' - both horrible movies!
