I'm working on my first machine - a V-23E - and am in need of a Index Latch Spring ##38130.  Where can I purchase?  Many thanks in advance - I love this site.

I don't think it is a part being reproduced, but you could check with Steve Jebb at www.sodajerkworks.com and Steve Ebner at Fun-Tronics (301) 371-5246.
For as many V-23's are out there, there are just not a lot of repro parts out there.
I'll have to take another look at mine, but as I recall it is not that intricate of a piece.
Maybe somebody here has one laying around?

Went down to the hardware store this weekend, and combed through their big selection of springs.  Was lucky enough to find one with a long tail, nearly the diam. of my latch spring.  Some bending and lip biting later, I'm good to go with my latch spring.

Sometimes, local stores have close replacements that can be slightly modified to function.
