Hey all.

I just wanted to say I love this site. I have viewed it as a guest for a while now just researching. I was just barely able to pick up a machine of my own about a week and a half ago. I have been cleaning it up a bit and still need to do some work, but this is what it looked like when I picked it up. My wife and I are turning our kitchen into a Dr Pepper Diner. Looking forward to spending some more time on this site.

Brent, welcome to the site!!  You are right, it's awesome and the people are top notch!  You got a great machine for your first one.  I love your Dr. Pepper Diner idea, our kitchen has DP machines, coolers, and signs all over.  The wife's mixer is even DP green (I was trying to convince her to go with the vintage green farm sink and the green stove as well, but not yet successful).

We need pictures of the diner when you are done!!

Pat, I saw the great job you did on that Dr Pepper machine.

For now, I am just going to give it a good cleaning and locate all the parts I need.

GreginTex, you should talk the wife into the green stove and sink. I have a green two headed shake mixer from an old drive in that I was working on when I purchased the vendo.

the green one said Salute ginger ale and the other was a Utah Stars sticker. The Utah Stars were an ABA basketball team before the Utah Jazz and the NBA came and replaced the ABA in the 70s. Both stickers are removed now.

It needs a bottle or can stack, shelfs, and the shelf brackets. It was pretty much gutted out on the inside. I am trying to pick up a parts machine locally right now. Hopefully he goes for $75 hopefull. Its a rust bucket on the outside, but the inside is pretty decent. It also has a working cooling system I could pull and A nice Pepsi light up sign on the front with the frame. If he goes for the deal, I will just strip everything usable on it.

OMG a pepsi lighted sign hanging above and off to one side of a dr pepper machine. That is about as bad for me putting my vend 56 next to my westhinghouse 66 machine. AKA one pepsi one coke.

Actually, I wasn't planning on keeping the pepsi sign. I just know that some people are looking for signs for their machines. Sadly, while I was finishing the deal, he sold the machine after he agreed to sell it to me. darn I have another lead now to follow now. hopefull
