Two machines recently followed me home,
Vendo 63 Squaretop was dropped off at my house with a note asking for $100 for it!

Then picked up this 81a the other day for $500... Pretty good week so far and it's only Thursday!!!

John ~

Great deal!  You did well on the 81A!  I sure wish I had folks just drop machines off at my house with a note on them...I guess I need to get my name out more that I collect/buy these things around here.  Of course, on the end of the Earth where I live, there aren't too many to be dropped off!

thanks Guys.. I remember a Day about 15 years ago, when I was just getting started, picked up a 110 and a 39 (my first machines), and thought to myself, if ONLY SOMEDAY I could Own an 81... Never to think that I have 14 of them now.. wow
Anyways,,, I degress..
I guess it pays to advertise... the Vendo 63 actually was owned by neighbor 4 houses down, never spoke to him much and one day he pulls into my driveaway when I had some other machiens out there with my big "FOR SALE" sign (I live on a pretty busy access road and have sales every weekend )
He asks me I I'm still buying machines said he had one or two.. after a few days this shows up on my driveaway wit hte note and his phone number asking for 100 bucks.

The Vendo 81a was a lead from on my craigslist postings.. I was posting my Restored machines for sale and this guy from Northern MN emails me saying he has one of those machiens unrestored and what are they worth.. of course I used my old line of that I can't be the "buyer and the seller" and asked what did he want for it.. he responds saying I'm not sure ,Make me an offer, you might be suprised.
So I figure I'll "FISH"... I offered $300, because one he was 4 hours from me.. He emails me back a day later says I'll take no less than $500... I told him I'd be interested in making the drive to take a look but couldn't promise him that I'd pay 500, but knew darn well I would.
Drove up there the other day, Nice guy ,Nice original complete machine that cools, vends, etc.. I had no problem giving him the money and some more cards as he lives in a pretty ritzy resort town and has seen what I do with them restored... SO all in all... pretty happy with that deal.
that's the story... Good night!
