Well I just finished up this lingering project, it’s a Vernors branded Vendo V132-4/can vendor. Insofar as Can vendors’ goes, it’s not a bad looking machine.

I like this style of can vendor because of the nifty round selection buttons & its clean-cut front looks, plus it's not too difficult to trouble shoot the vending rack.

This machine was a bottle vendor that was converted to 12-oz. cans (by Vendo) by the removal of the vertical bottle rack & the addition of the serpentine style (stamped & formed sheet metal) can rack. something to keep in mind when checking one of these earlier style can machines out, if ANY of the rack positions don’t have at least two cans in each (rack), the machine will not vend ANY of the selections & reject all coins. this can vending machine is a single price, four selection model, but later 24 volt bottle vendors (rectangular selection button style) where able to be converted to four-price / four selection with a conversion wiring harness & a 24 volt/four price coinco unit.

Note that this particular machine takes a 115/120 volt 8-pin single price coinmech, it currently has a Coinco model S75-9400B series, which like the S75-9800B coinco can be set from 5 to $1.55 per vend. But the '9400B series gives change back in dimes & nickels (as opposed to just nickels for the '9800B coinco coinmech)

I ended up repainting the front (red) as it was all scratched up from its years in service, swapped out the compressor deck with a donor unit from a V63 parts machine, & rewired the lower power harness as it was very brittle with age.  I also added a heavy duty 14-gauge line cord, & replaced the burnt out ballasts in the light up sign & added a fresh fluorescent lamp. I also printed up some flavor inserts for the selection buttons, & replaced all of the sold out lamps & the “correct change only” lamp.

For those of you interrested in dimentions, here they are; H=64  W=27-1/2” & D=23”. It’s heavier than it looks ( aren’t they all?) it weighs about 400lbs.

Sir Graves went off the air in the  early 80's,  and passed away a year or two ago.
Now had he a Vendo square top in the graveyard done in Pepsi boo.....
