on board here?

They have reformed the band with a new lead singer and I have to admit being a Steve Perry gregg Rollie fan I'm pretty impressed with his vocal ability.

Story is Neal found him on youtube.

They were on the Ellen show today and did a couple songs but this one didnt air, a classic he nailed perfectly.

I saw Journey in 1978 when Van Halen and Montrose (S.Hagar) were the back-up bands.

P.S. Funny Kilroy!

On another concert note, check out this guys CL ad for STP tickets

Actually, I  liked the guy. He's not trying to be Steve Perry.
And I freely admit there are some Journey songs that make me roll down the windows and punch it.

I heard Journey 'round 78 or sp Live. i say heard since i was working  as a busboy in high school, and they were the first act of a new outdoor amphitheater the county opened. Pat Benetar was the kicker band.

5 miles away we would sneak out in the back alley and listen, yeah, it was that loud  and it was another 20 years before the county  started allwoing it to be used for concerts again.

He doesnt soar the high notes like Steve did, I like the style he brings to the group. Close but not cloning.

walmart will have the new cd next month.

Not sure if I'll buy it, may just buy what I like on itunes.

Totally useless Journey trivia:

In Don't Stop Believing,  Steve sings   "Just a city boy, born and raised in South Detroit."  Downtown Detroit  sits in the west side of the Detroit River.  There is no  South Detroit. unless he's a fish.

I watched part of the clip of them singing Faithfully and it reminded me of being at a 5th grade dance.   upside

WOW...  jawdrop  Arnel is amazing. I'm not a diehard Journey fan, but I couldn't tell much of a difference. Thanks for the link.
