What is a good price on a Vendo 23 Standard--assuming it is in good working condition?

Picture from garage sale listing.  If it is still available, I may make a run at it.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

The last one I saw sell in my area that worked and was in decent condition went for $350.  I didn't see it in person, but it appeared to be complete and limited rust in the picture.  Good luck if you go for it!

darn I didn't get it!  It sold right away and it was a complete working machine.  They sold it for $50  censored!  Somebody got lucky--hopefully it was someone from our forum!

Sounds like the wife just sold it for what they paid for it!  "It wasn't really a coke cooler!" she said.  That will teach me to go out of town for business!

I guess I need to lock up my machines if the war department decides to have a garage sale!

Wow!  That was a great deal!  You're right, best to keep the War Department happy!  I'm sure another good deal will come along...

WOW 50 bucsk... too bad... usually those garage sale deals are pretty good as the people are typically selling them for what they have into them and haven't done any research what hte real value is... so once in a while a good deal pops up... like the 75.00 Vendo 81b that I missed out on last summer! darn censored. I still have the buyers name and email and drop him a line every few months about buying it.. he of course knows it worth more, but still might pick it up right someday! hopefull

That would be it!  I guess it wasn't exactly complete but for $50 and a few Coke decals it would have been a nice little unit to have in the garage or rec-room.  It will be interesting to see what it goes for.

Just out of curiosity, I see that it is missing the correct vending knob and the bottle basket and probably a few other items that a more trained eye would catch.  How available are parts for this machine?

I would bet the complete mech is gone also!

The sponsors don't carry a lot of V-23 parts and you do not see many being parted out for some reason.
There were about 4-5 different V-23's produced - different mechs, different lid support brackets, different storage doors, different tops, etc.
It is my belief that you could order the V-23's however you wanted - you had your choice of either a Standard or Deluxe cabinet and you could match it with either a Standard or Deluxe top.
That would explain all the various styles.

The bottle basket is not repopped.  I acutally sold one two years ago from a 23 I parted out.  If I remember correctly, it sold for around $200.  If the coin mech is gone, lots of luck finding one of those.  I sold mine for between $75 and $100, too.

I like the water spigot thing he put on there for the star handle.
