I can get my hands on this for $175, apparently runs well.  It is missing the key though, is that something a locksmith can typically take care of or would I have to replace the lock?

I'd buy it but thats just me.
You can buy a new lock for around $12.00

      You stumbled into a real fine machine for a newcommer.
     
      $100.00 to $250.00 is the average price range for your machine.
Having a lock or key is irrelelvent, you don't need one for home use.

buy it and drill out the current lock,, replace it or dont'... if for home use, who cares...
