if it' s complete , minus the sign, I'd say offer $200??? although traditionally these machines weren't considered "collectable" as the rounder-cornered cousins, I think they are pretty neat, but being generic machines (unembossed) the signage is rather important, but yeah, $900 is way to high for what he's selling, without more info on the completeness of the inside (rack yes/no?)

It's 40-50 miles from my house .I thought after the auction ended I contact him & Let him know the true Value & Maybe pick it up for Parts & You know more abought these Types what do you think ??
