Ok here's the story! I bought the Thunder-chicken from a customer 4 years ago for $400.00. and fixed it for under $100. We used it as one of my 3 "chase cars"......used it to drive to the new-car dealer and left it for a few days until we returned with a sunroof in the new car.
Car has 105K mi. clean and runs with plenty of power. I would drive it cross country
tomorrow. California problem......registration is due this month, and it won't pass the Calif smog test, without not 1 but 2 catalytic converters. $500 +-
I don't know why but the state of California will give me $1000.00 for this 20 year
old car because it failed smog, as long as I can drive to the wrecking yard under it's own power. That's more than I could sell it for privately even if it would pass smog!!!!!
So...........since the old T-bird is going to get crushed next month, I thought she
should go out with dignity! Has anyone else ever driven 150 miles home chatting with a Coke machine in the passenger seat? People look at you funny!
