Maybe this is a silly question, but did Cavalier ever make an 8-selection,
CSS-96 machine, or are all CSS-96's 12 selection?

To the best of my knowledge, any of the Cavalier slant-shelf models with the designation "96" is a 12 selection machine...  The 8 selection model would be a smaller version, the CS-72, which was the last slant-shelf model that has a vending capacity of 72 bottles from Cavalier.
