Anyone know what a Mills 45 restored or unrestored would be worth? In working condition, with coin mech just needs to be restored.

Hi Brian
A grand is a real good price, keep in mind that it has over 300 pounds of Mahogany inside. They are brutal to move around.

My opinion is if the Mills is functioning properly, and is complete, $1k is a good buy!
These don't come up for sale in complete working condition very often...
I don't know the details of what you may have discussed on price, but you could offer $900...
Let us know how this pans out...

I wish I had an extra $1k and that you passed on the deal...  I like the 45!

Brian,
Like I said in Chicago... I thought $1k is a great price if in good shape... if you had to restore it, then that would be tough.... Alot of wood in it like Tom Said....

but for a collector machine to sit and look good... go for it... AND DON"T TURN IT INTO A 7UP MILLS 45!!! biggrin biggrin

Get us some photos too!!!

Wow!... Seems narrow... neat machine... deco looking... are those embossed...
If not the book shows ICE COLD IN BOTTLES along the front.... I could make those
letters for you.... those are the same looking letters I made for my fountain service sign...
You gonna get it?...

Yeah! a Mills 45 is a very neat, very collectable early machine! ( although I don't care for the way this one's being treated in the picture, layed on its back & all. I mean, come on.. you wouldn't show a classic auto by standing it on end, ah well, some people.)

By the way, I'd go for it, looks pretty complete, but I'd like to see some all-around pictures of the front, sides, & back too.
