Spoke with the seller to see if he'd sell me a few bits off The Jacobs 50, particularily if
they are being sold for decoration.

Not interested at the moment but might be I suppose if they don't sell.

I pm'd dave about these and I'm hoping to get to see these over the
weekend or early next week, [unless all sold, which is i think unlikely]

I'm interested in the smaller red cooler and wondered if you could offer
some advice on this item, in terms of replacement parts, repro parts
availability, whats usually missing, where i should look first for rusted
out areas, whats embossed whats not etc, plus any pix of restored or
before and after.

i'm currently homeless [ah], so am using internet cafe to keep in touch
with things, [ will hopefully be in new property in about x10 days but
will probably take another x10 days to get online

many thx in advance

GP,

This appears to be a Westinghouse WE-6.
These types of coolers usually have rust problems with the lids, especially along the hinged edges. It should have embossing on all four sides and this one may have casters as well. One other area these coolers seem to have wrong is circulation motor troubles; sometimes they work forever and others just stop working. I believe there are replacements available though...
On the good side, it appears to be complete although I cannot see if the agitator and motor are present.

If he is asking $1500USD for the WE-6, it would be a bit much here!
You can usually obtain them in the US for $300-$500.
