What would be a fair price on a Quikold Jr - RC or Barq's (unrestored)? I'm still looking for one and would like to know what fair market value is before I find one.

Good question, Not enough come up for sale to give a general market value, More than likely if you find one you will have to use your gut instinct. I do wish you luck on your search, if you keep at it one will eventually be found.

I am right there with you... I Need a Quikold Standard after I find one I think I could quit collecting.... I paid $700 for my 7up junior 2 years ago?... and it's the most common
one.... There was a Barqs on eBay a while back but it was, I believe, a cut down standard or
master due to the size of the lid and width of cooler...
Standards prices are all over the place the Nesbitt's one on eBay a couple months ago
went over a grand, a Mission Orange went for $400 a couple years ago and a Pepsi standard went for $275 about 3 years ago.... seems soon as I really start looking for a certain style of cooler or candy machine the prices sky rocket..... Quikold now seems everyone is looking... just like the Stoner Junior 2 years ago they were going for $350-$450... when I decided I would try and get  one they are now unrestored $700-$1000 Aghhhhh!!!!! SO I just keep looking...
So hang in there somewhere there is a junk store or little mom & pop antique shop that
has your Quikold junior sitting waiting for you at a deal of a price! And if there's a Standard sitting by it call me!

I agree - it is hard to set a price when so few of them come up.  I hate to admit it, but I paid a little over a grand for my double dot pepsi junior. But after sitting at an auction all day I wasn't in the mood to come home empty and it was in very good original shape.  Good luck on your search - there are still a few around waiting to be discovered.

Well... the guy wanted $450... he has come down to $300?
Would it be worth it?... the lid and sides are good, has the opener, handle, hinges, but hello? the front and back with embossing is cut in half!!!!....
Have a friend who has a generic standard for $300 but I need the embossing of ICE COLD
I had a Nehi side I got at a flea market years ago... but traded it off that had the ICE COLD on it some of the larger S&S cooler and larger Quikold models had ICE COLD embossed
on the sides/ends anyone have a monster cooler I could buy the sides off... Am I crazy?
This would be pretty rare.. but needs a lot of work... like buying a 57 Chevy
without the back end.....
What would you guys do?

I think I would fix it without the ice cold embossed and just use decals. Either way it is such a rare machine if you plan to keep it no one would ever know the difference. Is the lower half the same as a westinghouse jr?

That last pic you posted looks like there might be enough of the "ICE COLD" to make it work - no?
It would be some work!

The Double Cola Quikold Junior in Walter's 3rd doesn't have the "ICE COLD", so if you had to do it without - I don't think many people would notice.
