I had the same issue with my glasco slider, I ended up using a standard wiring harness from funtronics.  The 2 wires running up into the box are for the fan and switch inside the box.  Just wire up the compressor, thermostat and run hot non switched for the fan/swich inside the machine.

     Today is Sunday and Radio Shack is open. A terminal strip, an
outdoor rated power cord, 16 ga. wire and some connectors.......
make your own junction box as shown.

I prefer not to have exposed wiring on my machines, the wiring terminal strip idea works, but exposes 120 volts to anything or anyone that gets into the back of the machine. 

I'd sugest wiring it into an electrical handy-box with a blank cover, which is available at any hardware store & it would set you back less than two bucks. I use a single-gang size, but you may wish to use the double-gang size box as it has more room inside for the wiring terminal strip.

      Terminal strips have available plastic covers which was not in
the pic. Wires could also be pigtailed together and taped up and
clamped to the frame.
       A vendo 81 restoration does ot deserve that Sunday quick
fix but when a square corner machine can be bought for $50.00,
another $50.00 for the proper wiring hurts.
       The electrical handybox is a great vault for wiring but I find
it hard to find a discreet way to hide it, but it would be great for
the slider,
        If anyone has found better products, I hope they will step
up and share with us.
