Well, I fixed PAM tonite... I pulled the motor apart, gears all over my bench, but its back together, and working. It looks to even be keeping time. I'll know in a few days justs how well. I am soo happy right now..

I started out just trying to figure out what I did wrong. I was trying to pry the 2nd hand off the shaft. It is threaded on. Because I was trying to pull it, it pulled the shaft right out of a gear. Then the gear moved a bit. While I was trying to put the shaft back in the gear, I ended up denting the gear instead. It just wasn't finding the hole in the gear. When I pulled the cover off the motor, gears just started falling. There is about 6 different gears I think.

In any case, its running and it hasn't cost me anything yet.. I'm ready to break another one

I normally would have done the same, but the challenge got to me for some reason.  It felt really good when I plugged it in and saw it run too. I may have to start fixing some of my other projects now.

Is there any lube point on the gear box on these clock motors? Mine has been getting loud. Its not obnoxious, but it makes noise. I want to put it by my arcade games, but its a bit too loud for that area right now, because my gameroom is also my basement theater and kids playroom. This clock has been plugged in since I put the motor back together, and it is still keeping time. I haven't had to adjust at all.

I thought so as I was assembling this, but it was dry when I took it apart. I think I'll pull it apart and put something in there. I think oil would be too messy..

I also use the white lithium grease and can air to blow out all of the dust and then just apply a small amount on the moving parts of the mech.  Bad part is when these motors start making noise they dont last to long, but hey look at all of the extra time you gave it by rebuilding.
