Wouldn't it be cool to take this, repro it, and insert your own name?

Yea, it would be cool. Especially since I wasn't born until almost 20 years after the date on the certificate!

I like it. We can reprint with the name and date blank and
members can fill them in themselves.

I can see this developing into the SMC Certificate of Authenticity for those that have passed our rigorous testing process!
SMC is an accredited education institution, isn't it...?
On another note, this is a very cool piece of machine history ! ! !

Ok I've got it! Now just how should I get it copied?
As you can see it's on a slightly yellow paper. I just want
to delete the persons name to use as our master copy.
If I take it to a print shop, could there become a legal issue that needs to be avoided?

Glen,
You just need to get it scaned. Then you can send the scan file to me or anybody with PhotoShop to delete the name. The new file could be posted for folks to add their name or I could do it and print and mail a copy for anybody.

Glen,
Scan the document at least 150 dpi with 300 being preferred.
You won't be able to email because the file will be too large!
It probably would best to recreate the document in a vector based program such Adobe Illustrator. Match the fonts and import the bottle and green colored equipment... Edit the name as necessary and print; everyone's an offical soda machine service/repair man now...
Congrats on acquiring this document Glen, this is pretty cool; I have never seen one of these before.
