Hi Guys
Has been very quiet here for a few days. Thought I'd tell you about my little trip today.
I visited an old boy that used to run a vending route. He literally had a small warehouse stuffed full of thousands of old ewall vending machines.
Problem was that he had converted most of them to Condom machines. Really had to root through to find any original covers. After about three hours I came away with a few machines.
I'd worked myself up all week thinking that I had discovered a small goldmine but in reality it was just a bit of a junk yard. Well a big bit of a junk yard.
Forgot my camera but have enclosed a picture of one of the machines I bought. Not going to restore this one. Its pre-war and is actually NOS juststored haphazarly. Hence some rust spots.
The other four of five will need to to be striped and re-decalled. Was actually thinking about taking a stall at some antique shows and trying to sell restored machines. Its a bit of English nostalga and nobody else as far as I'm aware does it.

Nice score Dave! Hope the booth at some shows works out. The good thing about that is you get to know the other vendors and may get tips for the stuff you are interested in. Creighton

Well definantly get some cards made up with images of your machines... that way if you don't set up at a show you can at least pass the cards around and get the word out that you're looking for these type machines.... Good score my friend.... Keep looking.. you've been on a roll here lately too.

Dave,
I really like that wall machine. I am going to have to start looking seriously for one of those.

Thanks Guys
Found this link for the film machine ..

If its good enough for The Science Museum its good enough for my home.
Gave it a clean last night and will try and find a space on the wall to put it up. Have already stripped one of the others down ready for a re-paint and some new decals. I'll have to fiddle around with the mech and magazine as it was set for condoms.

Hi Guys, thought I just post a picture of a condom machine I have just "tarted up."
Unfortunately due to its adult content the wife has put her foot down and its now going to go on Ebay.
Pitty..... I think it looked rather cool.

Dave, I just fell out of my chair laughing. What an imagination, take a plain vending unit and add character. I can see that selling on e-bay to a pub owner who will install it in the mens room for laughs, maybe even fill it with product
