I need coin mechs for 4 VF90's and don't even know how to start looking for one that will fit!! This is the tag that tells me what I need to use, can this be cross referenced? Or is there a simple "one for all" that works?

Thanks

Is it a Jones plug (9 pin) type?
I think any Jones plug mech would work,
but maybe somebody with a V90 will chime in here.
I think the decal was probably Vendo's way of saying "use our mech".

I'm no expert by any means, but I think any electric mech with a Jones plug should work.  At least that has been my experience with the few electric machines I have dealt with.

I pulled the coin mech out of my Cav CS80 and it works fine. I did notice on searching there were some comments on large door mechs... Are there different sizes? Or should I be able to purchase one off e-bay as long as it has the jones plug?

Thanks

Any 120 volt coinmech with a 8-pin jones plug will work, be it coinco or mars, (I say 8 pins because the round index post has no electrical connection on these coinmechs, it's only there for polarity, so you can't plug the thing in the socket backwards) be carefull though some late model coincos have the same plug, but are for 24-volt use only, it will say so right on the coinmechs label.

Mostly in the mid to late '80's on those big flat-face lightup single price- multi button machines, before they started making the multi-price machines, you can't tell them apart ( between a 24volt & a 120volt Coinco's ) just by looking at them & the jones plug are identicle you have to read the label on the mech. or if there is no label, pop open the slug rejector. &  look at the little transformer, it will have the voltage rating written on it. either 120volt  or 24 volt

Thanks Johnie, and thanks for the 8 pin vs 9 pin explanation, you would have really lost me there without that!

If you are buying coin mech.s for 4 machines anyway, buy yourself one extra as a spare........you'll be glad you did !
