Ok i bought this machine with a pretty crappy taped together power cord hanging out the back of it...
I finally went out today to my local lowes and checked there selection for replacements...all i could find was 115v 13amp....is that good? Does the machine say some were on it how many amp?

Nevermind just looked...it says 5.7amp right on the tag on the side of the machine!!

Looks like you found it!, a 16 gauge/13 amp cord was standard on many machines, I use 14 gauge/15 amp replacement cord as it allows me to lenghten the linecord so it's more convienant to get it to the nearest electrical outlet.

You can buy a 14 gauge extension cord usally cheaper that the pre-cut "replacement" cord they sell at the big-box stores like HomeDepot, etc.

Now i'm running into the problem of trying to get behind the compressor...or what ever it is to replace the cord....it won't seem to move for me and theres no access from the back
