This weekend I had the opportunity to meet a local guy with a nice collection. He was thinking of parting with a couple of pices: Vendo Pepsi 44 that he picked up in Vegas (thats where all the work was done). He also was looking to part with an Ideal Slider, I think 85 version, nice Royal Crown,
embossed. What do you guys think is a fair price on each machine. The Pepsi 44 is not complete, it does need the rack, coin mech. The slider is complete and cools. Sorry no pics, but an estimate will work..

Vendo Pepsi 44?... Roundtop?... Be careful....It may be a fantasy piece...
Would love to see that machine unrestored to see if there are welding marks....

It must be a VMC. Just checked and according to this site they were made in Pepsi.

I know that I wouldn't know the difference.

From my understanding a Vendo or VMC 44 was only produced in Coca Cola, Is it a VMC 88??

Jeff Walter withdrew it from the second printing of his
Soda-Machines guide books....thinking they where
fantasy (cut from pic-nic coolers) same as those you see as 7ups....
I would definantly want to see images of before it was restored...
I've never seen another brand other than Coke in the model 44.
Be Careful.....

Pull the door liner before buying it. You usually can tell if it has been cut. If it is real it is the find of a lifetime but I doubt it is.

The Vendo 44 has been cut and welded. You can not really tell from the front but the guy told me it was. Though it still looks nice. I will try and get pics. The guy has a #@!* load of stuff, example Seaburg A and R model jukebox, (I think, do not no anything about juks) fortune telling machine, arm wrestling machine, on and on. According to him he brought it all from Vegas. The guy is totally cool, and is soon planning to sell all of it. I will try and get pics soon.

His ME page is something else.
