Hi,
I got this orange crush cooler not too long ago and traded it with my other stuffs. I have no idea about this machine.. what year?, model #? etc.. I have looked in several soda machine books and couldn't find similar to this one.
Your help would be greatly appreciated, '<img'>

Kathy,

I can honestly say that I have never seen this type of cooler...
Can you read the model on the ID tag? I can see it's manufacturered by the Portable Elevator Mfg. company.
I would estimate it's from the late 40's - early 50's.
With your permission, I would like to include this machine in our Soda Machines Listing...?
Sorry I'm not much help on this one... '<img'>

Hi Jim,
Yes, you have my permission to add this in your Soda Machine Listing.

The model# is  QC-510E Serial#13256.  The motor runs well and don't know if it works perfectly..

Thanks,
~K

You know it looks like the 7up chest cooleron the the front cover of  Jeff Walters Classic Soda Machines 3rd. Edition.
 That is what I think.

Went through the books again and glanced one (PELCO 510-E)that looks so much exactly like one I have in Classic Soda Machines by Jeff Walters (one I have is published in 1995) page 294. Except it says it is not embossed but the one I have is embossed.  I am guessing the word on the body saying Portable Elevator Mfg. Co. is shortened for PELCO? Please correct me if I am wrong about this.  Is it rare? Value for this machine?

Well based on Jeff's Book, 3rd edition page No. 308, it's a 5.0 on the rarity scale & "rare" in even finding any!  So I'd say an embossed example in any soda-brand is a big find! I'll convert & post your Picture so others can see the cooler, congrat's
