late 60's-Early. 70's Vendo VF56 is my guess, looks like a painted panel, not a light-up sign model, probably no bottle door light
too. anybody else what to venture a guess?

John I have to go with you on that it looks like A Vendo
V56, But I think that is a light up sign I think the plastic lens has been discolered. I would like to see a photo of under the lens the coin return and the chrome peace.
Well there my guess.

Your machine looks like a Vendo HA56A-Red & White. The Vendo 56 was produced by the Vendo Corp. from the late 50s to the mid 60s. Some of the models produced were.
HA56A-Red n White
HA56A-A2 Woodgrain
HA56C Red n White & Woodgrain
HA56B Red n White
HD56A Looks like a wood door,solid.
Along with the Vendo 63, the HA56 is one of the best looking square corner bottle machines from the 60's. It is also a great machines to own since it is a glass door slant shelf vendor. This means that it can vend just about any type, size, or brand, of bottle drinks. One of the most unique versions of the was know as the "Decorator Door Woodgrain" - Basicaly the front of the machine was hidden behind a door.
In 1956 the Vendo Co. decided to acquire the Vendolator Co. which at the time produced almost identical machines. A good example is the Vendolator VFA56-K-A, looks just like a HA56A-B but had a solid metal door and no lighted top right front. They made them for other companies like Vernors 7 UP and Pepsi, the inside was identical.
Your machine serves 56 bottles, precools 12 bottles and was made between 1959 and 1966. A great looking machine restored and should go up in value when restored.

Thank you to everyone with there input. Sign does not light up but glass door does. I don't think front door is wood panel, but will advise when we start stripping and sanding.
Additional pictures attached.
