I'm a soda machine idiot but a pinball repair wiz. I bought this square cornered Coke machine but it has no model no. on any plate. It looks like a CS-96 from pictures on the web. The colling unit seems to work OK, but the fan in the cooling portion of the unit doesn't turn. That's the evaporator fan - yes? I've heard that some folks have found a Grainger replacement. How would I go about this? Thanks for all help. Looking forward to serving some cold bottles from this little gem.

First you must determine the size of the fan/motor you're replacing, that is the watts of the motor And the rotation.
This is marked on the the back plate of the motor, remove the Original motor from the evap assy. and have a look-see
typically they're around 4 to 6 watts 115 volts AC, AND there will be a rotation mark stamped on it, it'll say "CW" (clock-wise as viewed from the shaft end of the motor) or "CCW" counter-clock-wise rotation, once you get this info off the old motor, let me know and I'll look it up in the Graingers catalog for the proper replacement/cross-reference. or you can contact them yourself on the internet @ their web site(Google search Keyword Graingers) they run from about $16.00 to $27.00 ea depending what type you need also NOTE how it mounts in it's mounting frame! some use three screws set in a triangle pattern from the rear, others use two screws horizontally on the bottom of the motor frame. the original is usally made of black painted iron, but the replacements are usally aluminum. let me know what you got
'> JohnieG PS you might need a new Fan blade too as sometimes the old ones wont mount on the new motor's shaft (about another $7.00)
