Chaps
Might have a chance on a Jacobs machine. Its in the UK. The seller has shipped in quite a bit of coke related stuff. He's a Juke dealer so I'm not going to get it for a couple of pennies.
Have no pictures or even model number yet. All I know is its Pepsi. Don't knoew if its complete etc. Have looked through the previous threads on the Jacobs ad know that the drum is a sought after item. Anything else I need to be aware of?? Also do these machines just vend the small bottles?? I do remember being told that Pepsi offered twice as much juice as Cola in the 1950's so I was hoping that they would accomadate large bottles??
Thanks
Dave

Hopefully it's a Jacobs 56 light up. These machines use shelves instead of drums and will vend 12 oz. bottles. try to get more info. on what he has. These machines are highly sought after. '>

I have heard that the Pepsi 56 machines need the original pepsi bottles to vend correctly. The ones that you can buy currently in Mexico get log jammed.

Hopefully he is sending pictures ASAP. As soon as I get them . I'll post. I'm getting a little excited but logic says calm down. If its anything worth talking about why would it be shipped over here when it would go for lots more over there. Hopefully know more soon.
Dave.

Okay Chaps
Had some pictures sent through last night of the machine . Have e-mailed for a price and I'm awaiting his reply. Have had a look in the soda machines section and it looks to me to be the automatic vender.
Here are some pictures.

Here are a couple more. I've had a bit of a sleepless night. As much as I would love to own a Pepsi Machine I think the restoration here is beyhond me. Although I don't know the price yet I do know its not going to be a find of the week. Never is....
Have a look at these and tell me what you think. Is it all complete. How difficult is it to restore this model. f it is automatci vend I would imagine that has its own difficulties. Is the rsut too deep. Any advice would help. Will post the price when I get it.
Dave
Ps... He does say that there are a few dents in the machine too.

Dave, What you have there is a Jacobs 50. Jeff Walter's 3rd book give it an average value of $1150. It is automatic and utilizes shelves inside instead of a drum. Looks like it might be missing at least one part - a sort of compressor access panel at the bottom of the main door; otherwise, looks pretty complete to me. Somebody who has one might see something missing that I don't though. Looks like a case of bad rot though around the breaker strip above the compressor.

Thats not too bad at all. The piece missing at the bottom is just a flat piece of metal. It wouldn't be hard to make at all. If the price is right get it. Those jacobs machines are great looking.

Josh & Tom
you're up late...
Have just had an e-mail with the price he wants £500.00 (about $850) doesn't know if it works because he hasn't fired it up. Don't blame him really. I was hoping he was going to come back with a really high price but at that sort of money I could probably just about stretch. Just a little concerned its going to be a bit too much for a complete novice. What do you reckon $850.00 not working possible parts missing...
As always thanks for the support...
Dave
