Reading the original instructions for the C-51's etc.. says to "loosen the compressor holddown bolts so that the compressor floats freely on its mounts". Mine is a replacement unit I got from Eric at Global..so probably directing this question to him. Should I loosen the mounting bolts?
Will call him if need too..thought would ask here first.
Thanks.

If it is spring mounted I would say yes. If it is rubber mounted no.

I would have to go with the rest of the group and say no. If it's hard mounted, that's the way it should it be.

I am also very confident that if there were any special mounting instructions for your deck that Eric would have notified you of that.
