OK, all I need to do is go pick up the Cavillier 22 this weekend.
It's not cooling so what I need to know, being this is my first dry cooler where do i begin, cooling wise? Easy fix, how much to replace if needs to be?
What type cooling units are in these? I'm used to the squaretops.
Are there manuals out there somewhere?
Really looking forward to this one. Hubby's not too happy though.

You'll find working on the lower section of a chest cooler much easier than on a upright machine, plenty of working space around the compressor deck, especially with a CD-22!
They work the same as any "dry" (forced air evaporator) machine system, first go over the overall wiring condition BEFORE you even think about pluging it in! safety first!
missing ground pins, crushed/torn linecords, dry-rotted electrical insulation, & exposed wiring terminals, etc. all must be addressed. if it all seem to be in acceptable condition, you can start by trying to isolate the compressor decks wiring & see if it's something as simple as an open/bad thermostat,
As I recall a Cavalier chest cooler is hard-wired to the "T"-stat ( no female plug-socket like on a Vendo upright) so you'll have to remove the line leads off the compressors splice point, usually located inside the "can" on the side of the compressor itself, I'll whip up a basic wiring diagram & attach it & that should get you started.
