# 1. - I  have an  old C-51 that ran fine 22 years ago when I unplugged it and put it into storage.  It has been stored in a climate controlled environment since, but never run.  The wiring is original and I plan to replace it, but I'm dying  to turn it on again first to check it out.  Should I do some preventative something first or just plug the sucker in and pray? Someone mentioned to me about adding some kind of hard starter - what's that - do I need it?

Just make sure the upper evaporator fan motor is free and spinning. When you plug the machine in, don't leave it until you have had a chance to check out the wiring, bad connections, brittle, etc.
