I sold one of my machines and am delivering it about 2 hours from my house. I will be laying the machine on it's bach in my pickup. I am also loading it the night before so it will be on it's back for about 12 hours. How long should I wait to plug it in so that I dont destroy the cooling mech.
Thanks

I've always used the rule of thumb: "hour for hour".  For every hour the system/machine is laying sideways, keep the system/machine upright for the same amount of time before starting it up.

I've never had any troubles but then again; I could have been lucky according to some of the more experienced refrigeration people...

My six cents,
